Top of the Rock Observatory
Description
Experience one of Manhattan’s most iconic skyline views at Top of the Rock, where a thrilling glass elevator ride whisks you 70 floors up to a stunning 55,000-square-foot observatory spanning three levels, offering both indoor and outdoor spaces with unobstructed 360° views of Central Park, the Hudson River, and even Connecticut on a clear day. Located atop the historic Art Deco Rockefeller Center, this vantage point uniquely delivers what the Empire State Building can’t, a perfect view of the Empire State Building itself. Ride the Sky Shuttle 850 feet up in under a minute, explore exhibits and short films about the Center’s 1930s construction, and enjoy a multimedia exhibition that tells the story of John D. Rockefeller and his vision. Whether you visit during daylight or after dark, Top of the Rock promises a breathtaking perspective of NYC’s skyline, from the Chrysler Building and One World Trade to the Statue of Liberty and beyond.
