About the 7 Train
The 7 train, also known as "The International Express," runs on the IRT Flushing Line connecting Queens to Midtown Manhattan. It earned its nickname because it passes through some of the most ethnically diverse neighborhoods in the world.
The Flushing Line opened in 1917 and was extended several times. The newest extension to Hudson Yards opened in 2015, the first major subway extension in decades.
