About the C Train
The C train is a local service on the IND Eighth Avenue Line, running from Washington Heights to East New York. It provides local stops that the A express skips.
The C service began in 1933 as part of the IND system. It uses some of the oldest subway cars in the system, the R32s, known as "Brightliners."
