About the D Train
The D train is one of only two subway services to run through all four boroughs (Bronx, Manhattan, Brooklyn, and briefly Queens via the Manhattan Bridge). It connects the Bronx to Coney Island.
The D train's route has changed significantly over the years. The current configuration dates to 1967 when the Chrystie Street Connection opened.
